Had some fantastic venison last night. Also tried some nice game sausage. I love the butcher's stock in fall. Currently on offer in addition to the usual fare: duck, wild duck, wild rabbit, venison, pheasant, mutton, and some seasonal sausages.
mmmmmm sounds delicious. Mouth watering. I WISH we had a butcher here in Phoenix we could walk to, and greet by name. The Fry's grocery store butcher is so impersonal, mass produced... I'm glad you have a local source of delicious, varied, diverse protein.
