Socks
I don't understand why over-the-calf socks are not more popular. I find them several orders of magnitude more comfortable than mid-calf socks. They look identical when you're trousered, and they look pretty much equally stupid if you've got them on while naked. Which should just leave comfort.

No. Are those shorter than mid-calf? I don't like either.
I used to hate ankle high ones, and frequently mocked them. then I moved to the desert... and have found them quite comfortable and useful. Chacun ses merde.
I'll allow special dispensation for desert environs. But then you just get your trousers sticking to your calves, no?
