One of the comets in our cold-water tank has disappeared. Vanished into thin air. No trace, no evidence, nothing left behind. Lacking any better explanation, I must conclude that the Fish Rapture has occurred and he was the only one pure enough of heart and deed to qualify. The remaining fish are really in for it, I guess. Maybe the shiny one is the anti-carp.
maybe the comet evolved, grew legs, and walked out of the tank.... http://www.darwinuk.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=22
ReplyDeleteHave you checked behind the left gill on the shiny one, for a "666"?
I too have had the Fish Rapture strike. Mrs Young assumed that we had the rare Anasazi fish since the mountain in the middle of the tank still showed signs of cliff dwellings, and pirate treasure. Of course I though that was absurd, we had to be dealing with the precursor stages of a new Nessie, the fish was there but it was hiding in plain sight so we could not see the obvious. Given your tank description I conclude you have the Andean variety, is there a plane crash in your tank - cold water, thin air, the other fish looking full, the evidence is there. Perhaps the other fish found out he was a ManU fan and had to take care of business.
ReplyDeleteYou might be right. The other fish have been looking a little too innocent, giving me that "nothing to see here, move along" vibe.
